FEATURES
Maximum Operating Temperature: 120 ºC
The closing element in butterfly valves is a disc that rotates around a shaft positioned on the vertical axis.
The disk mechanism, which is mounted within the body and rotates 90° around its own axis, performs the function of fully opening or closing the pipe’s internal cross-section.
Sealing is achieved between the body interior and the metal flange using elastic or plastic sealing elements.
The sealing element also acts as a gasket in the flange between the valve and the pipe.
The main advantages of this type of valve are: low hydraulic loss, fast opening and closing with low torque, high sealing performance, low weight, and compact design requiring minimal installation space.
The valve stem can be in a horizontal or vertical position. However, horizontal installation is preferred for DN300 and above.
